Reap a Harvest

"Let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9

Sowing seeds is hard work to keep doing if you don't believe you will produce a harvest. If you don't believe a harvest is coming you will give up. But the best thing about being a sower for God is that we can be confident that a harvest is coming.

We don't know whether the harvest is coming today, tomorrow, next month or in twenty years. And, even though we don't know when it's coming, we can't give up and quit sowing good things for God's kingdom. Why not?! I'm tired! I'm frustrated! I'm ready to quit!

God knows. And He is preparing you to receive a particular harvest from Him that you will not receive from anyone else or anything else.

I don't know what you're struggling with today. I don't know what God is waiting to give you as your "harvest". But it's coming... and you don't want to miss it. So don't give up. Keep pressing on. Keep having faith. Keep asking God for more faith.

Jesus said, "You are blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. You will be satisfied by Him." Matthew 5:6

God isn't just teasing you with a pointless or ambiguous waiting period in your life. He is preparing you to receive a miracle from Him. He knows you're not ready for it yet. He knows you don't believe He'll give it to you. Regardless of your faith, He is preparing you so that when His miracle harvest comes into your life, you will be in a place where you can do nothing else but believe He is the One who gave it to you. As Paul said, God will bring you your harvest "at just the right time".
