Don't Settle for Less!
If it’s true that God has so much more for us, then why do we settle for less? Perhaps because we often cannot see the impact of spiritual work. Prayer seems to stay at the forefront of our thoughts only when concerns remain unanswered. When spiritual life isn’t visible, it remains challenging to continually pursue it. But God continually calls us to grow taller and stronger “in the ways of His Spirit” (Gal. 5:22-26). So we cannot settle. We must not settle.
No matter how silent His Spirit has been or might be in your life continue to seek Him. Because “where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom” (2 Cor. 3:17-18). There is love, joy, peace, patience, hope, and meaning for your life. Without His Spirit, we keep seeking peace and bliss that, frankly, only last for a short period of time. But with His Spirit, the lasting benefits of a thriving spiritual life in Christ will never end for you. So as Jesus said, keep on knocking, keep on seeking, keep on talking to God (Mt. 7:7-8). Don’t settle and certainly don’t give up!
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:8
